Growing Your Faith! Part Three

2 Thessalonians 1:3-4 NKJV

3We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other, 4so that we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure,

Theme: God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. Faith is not meant to stay small. Faith is designed by God to grow, mature, strengthen, and become a powerful force in the believer’s life.

Romans 12:3 NKJV  For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

INTRODUCTION

Church family faith is not a one‑time event. Faith is not something you receive at salvation and then leave untouched. Faith is a living, growing, developing force inside you.

The Bible says in 2 Thessalonians 1:3-4 NKJV, “Your faith grows exceedingly.” Not slowly. Not barely. Exceedingly.

God expects your faith to grow. God desires your faith to grow. God designed your faith to grow. Because God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

Today, I want to show you from Scripture how faith grows — and how you can cultivate strong, mature, mountain‑moving faith.

I. FAITH GROWS THROUGH HEARING THE WORD

Text: Romans 10:17 NKJV — “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Faith does not grow by accident. Faith grows by exposure to the Word of God. When that seed of faith is planted and it is exposed to the Son you will grow.

Every time you hear the Word:

  • Faith is being planted.
  • Faith is being watered.
  • Faith is being strengthened.

Faith grows when the Word is:

  • Heard consistently — not occasionally
  • Received humbly — not defensively
  • Meditated deeply — not superficially
  • Applied intentionally — not ignored

The Word is spiritual fertilizer. Wherever the Word is planted, faith increases.

Preaching Moment: If you want your faith to grow, you must feed it. A starving faith cannot be a strong faith. That seed of faith needs the Son. (Not sun)
